Yoga Therapy

Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self. – Bhagavad Gita

Yoga therapy is a holistic approach, and there are basic principles within the teachings and practices of yoga's healing system.

The first principle is the human body is a holistic entity comprised of various interrelated dimensions inseparable from the other and the health or illness of any one dimension affects the other dimensions.

The second is individuals and their needs are unique and therefore must be approached in a way that acknowledges this individuality and practice must be tailored accordingly.

Thirdly yoga engages the student in the healing process; by playing an active role in their journey towards health, the healing comes from within.

Yoga therapy combines many yogic practices such as asana, meditation, mudras, mantras, visualisation, yoga nidra, pranayama breathing, and Emotional Freedom Technique. Yoga therapy can be used to address many physical , mental and emotional health issues such as Lower back pain, Heart conditions, asthma, Chronic fatigue, Hypertension, Multiple Sclerosis and insomnia.
